The challenge was not being able to track results which meant no real measure of ROI (return on investment) and also not collecting the prospects contact information to remarket to at a later time.


Social Media Paid Ads for Lead Generation

Then COVID happened. Sales were down 50 – 60% and this new business was very concerned about not being able to survive.


Our team first researched the past client successes of the furniture industry on social media to see what has been time tested and proven. The creative aspects have been designed by our Head of Digital Advertising where multiple ad sets were created and tested. Our audience segmentation was 18 – 65 men and women in Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver via Facebook and Instagram only.

We designed ads with a specific call to action that gathered names, email, and phone numbers from prospects which allowed us to also send them a well designed welcome email with a special one-time offer promotion.

Within 30 days of ad creation, the client received 273 pre-qualified leads with automated follow-up and phone calls to the customers. It resulted in close to $40K+ in total business from new customers selling sofa sets, dining sets, mattresses, and other items in store.


Our team approached the owners and said we could handle the social media advertising and generate qualified leads for a monthly retainer and also create an automated email sequence for first-time customers. We discussed a revamp of their site to focus on having some products in store available to sell online and ship directly to customers via E-commerce. This was initially designed for a 3 – 6 month campaign to start and has developed much further since.


Within the first 30 days, Vancity Think Tank generated 273 new qualified leads of potential customers looking to buy furniture and home decor items. From the 273 leads the clients had closed 20 leads (about 10% closing) resulting in over $40,000 in new business in one month. After calculations, our current results for this client are an astounding 40 X ROAS return on ad spend.
